Kebbi State Government has declared tomorrow, Friday 21st August 2020 equivalent to 1st Muharram, 1442, after the Hijra, in the Islamic Calendar, Public Holiday.
A statement from the office of the Acting Head of Civil Service, signed by Rashidu Muhammad Bala, says Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who issued the approval, advised Muslims to remain prayerful to God for peace and economic prosperity of the nation as well as guidance to leaders.

Press Release: Governor Bagudu Lauds Buhari for Appointing FCC Fed Commissioner, Bunu
Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Alhaji Atiku Bunu, as the Federal Commissioner, representing the State in the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
The Governor spoke on Monday, when Bunu paid him a courtesy call at Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
Bagudu said: “We must commend the president for choosing one of able, brave and courageous sons into such an enviable position.”
“He was appointed to replace the late Bello Alkali, who was also diligent and indefatigable.”
